ALERT TO TEACHERS:

I´m always keen to visit schools and my presentations offer a bit of everything: I read from my novels and plays, take questions and talk about the writing process. One of the things I love to do is ask the kids about their own writing, about the kind of stories they're interested in. I often work with groups of students to create a play, and in one case – because I'm also a musician and songwriter – I helped a grade five class write their own opera over a period of five days.
